I am deeply saddened by the passing of my friend, Vicky. We traveled together for the first time to the U.S. in 1970, to pursue graduate studies. We got together in Chicago, where she was, and continued to keep in touch through the years, even until she moved to the U.S. permanently after retirement. Condolences to her family and prayers for her peaceful passage to the other side 🙏

Life & Legacy
Born Victoria Gesalan Ang on December 23, 1941 in Dalaguete, Cebu, Philippines, Victoria A. Satorre lived a life rooted in faith, family, education, and service. She passed away on March 22, 2026 in Bakersfield, California.
Victoria was a dedicated educator who devoted much of her life to higher education in the Philippines. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Carlos with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, earned her MBA from Central Michigan University, and later served as Dean at the University of San Carlos in Cebu City. She was also remembered as Miss Caltex. She is remembered for her wisdom, leadership, grace, and lifelong commitment to learning.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Victoria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, educator, and friend. She was a proud grandmother to Johan, Ella, Toby, LA, MK, and Santi. Her extended family also included Farah and her daughter Shawn, Cecille, Jet’s girlfriend, and Mark’s wife, Celeste. A devout Catholic, her faith was central to the way she loved her family, served others, and carried herself through life. She also loved the simple joy of time together — especially Mahjong, one of her favorite pastimes with family — and she was a great cook whose meals brought people together. Her December 23 birthday often made the Christmas season a time of extra warmth, celebration, and family memories.

Please accept my family's most heartfelt condolences.
May the soul of the faithful departed Victoria rest in eternal peace with her Maker in heaven 🙏
We mourn the passing of PICPA Cebu Past President, Victoria Ang Satorre, whose dedication and service left a lasting impact on the accounting profession and beyond.
Victoria's commitment to excellence and mentorship inspired countless colleagues. Through her leadership, she helped strengthen not only the organization but also the values that define our profession.
As we grieve this loss, we also celebrate a life devoted to uplifting others and making a difference.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and the entire PICPA Cebu chapter during this difficult time.
My condolences to your family, Jerome.
Dean Satorre was my boss at College of Commerce & Business Administration, USC 1980. Though we're across the miles, few years back, we were still able to connect and she still remembered me.
May she rest in peace. God bless her soul.
